今回はTOEICリスニングPartⅡ（
応答問題）でどのような傾向の問題が出題されているのか、またそこで得点できる英語力の身に付け方をできるだけ具体的に書いてみたいと思う。
Part Ⅱ (応答問題)

短い質問に対する最も適切な応答を3つの英文から選びます。
問題用紙には質問文、応答の3つの英文いずれも印刷されていない。

このパートはパターンが上記のようにほぼ決まっている。
この3つでほぼ全体の８～９割を占める。
つまり30問中24～27問を占める。
ちょっと例題に挑戦してみよう。

[解法のポイント]
出だしを絶対聞き落とさない。これが聞き取れれば後がわからなくても正解できる問題が多い。上記で説明した出題パターンと応答の選択肢の引っかけのしくみを頭にしっかりいれておくこと。たとえば質問文と同じ単語や音が含まれている選択肢は誤答を誘う罠や、5W１H、選択疑問文はYes, Noでは答えられない。
またHow long…?と聞いているからといってten daysのように期間で答えるとは限らない。予想外の答え方をすることもある。ここで点差が開く。
ちょっと次の例を見て欲しい。

How oftenという問いにonce a weekとかevery other dayなどの日にちで答えていない。またHow longに対してthree hoursとかtomorrowなどと時間や期間で答えていない。
こういう問題で足元をすくわれないように。
[学習アドバイス]
市販の問題集（TOEICリスニングに特化したもの）を使って、出だしを聞き取る練習をする。徐々に全文を書き取るディクテーションへ。どんな言い回しが正解になっているかも同時にチェック。応答の方法を学ぶ。とにかく数をこなす。100問，200問と最低でも３桁はやること。
